Paul's notes on Perl |
Perl is the most popular programming language for doing Unix Internet scripts. It is often maligned since there exists lots of ugly Perl code out there. Because Perl is so powerful and lets you do so many things so many different ways, many programmers take advantage of this to write mysterious crappy code, thinking they are clever if they can pack a regular expression tight enough to scare mortals.
