| i hate spam |
I hate spam more than you hate spam. I've spent a huge amount of time and money fighting spam over the last ten years. Here are links to some of my documents about spam.
Note1: do not ever click the "remove me" links in spam; that will simply confirm to the spammer that they found a real address with a real human, which will result in you getting tons more spam. You can safely click the "remove me" links from legitimate senders, e.g., some store you used online and where you gave them your email address but now would not want any more email from them.
Note2: if you get spam, be sure you carefully study all of the original email headers to see in fact where the spam came from, as spammers usually forge the "From" address to some email address other than their own. (Spammers don't ever want you to know their real email address, as they don't want spam, they want you to click their stupid links.) Pay attention especially to all of the "received" headers to see in fact which servers delivered the spam along to you.
