| About Paul English | reddit flickr about search contact |
paulenglish.com is my personal blog where I publish online articles about technology, startups, consumer advocacy and life. :)
My current job is CTO and Co-founder of Kayak.com travel search. (Please try our site and send feedback!) I've recently become well known as the founder of the gethuman consumer movement, with the goal to change the face of customer service in the US. I also manage the BostonCTO mailing list of top CTOs from Boston.
My favorite charity is Partners in Health; they are a small group who is changing world health by finding innovative and dramatically effective ways to offer preferential health care to the poor. I'm also now working with Jim Kim at Harvard on a new initiative focused on global health delivery.
Here are some press interviews I've done.
My favorite movie is The Matrix and my favorite book is Mountains Beyond Mountains.
I love travel, but have lived only in Boston (going to Boston Latin School and then UMASS Boston). I want my tombstone to say "father and student". I like learning things, especially about other cultures. You can learn more than you want about me by browsing my website.
My home page is organized into three columns:
left - article links center column - main blog entries here right - digg links links to the most popular articles on my site main stuff from my blog; usually I write a new article about once a week; often pointing out something interesting on the web, usually with commentary on it by me. I use blogger for this. links to articles I found interesting on digg; these are very ephemeral, and have no comment by me. twitter updates
